Malaysian Idol Grand Finale

I was never a fan of Malaysian Idol. I scrambled for the Grand Finale tickets just because it has been quite a while since I last saw live gigs. When Jien, the presenter, asked if we've voted before, my mate and I shouted "Never!" he asked again if we are voting tonight, we replied "No!" - enough to make heads turn. Another friend, Shazlan, was even worst than I, when someone climbs the stage - he'd shout "Jac!". 'Twas mid way through when he found out who Jac was.
Anyways, I'm glad that I went. 'Twas such an orgasmic pleasure being there. Jaclyn Victor was spectacular, with the new single Gemilang being the climax; explosion after explosion after explosion.  It was amazing how she could build and control 'the energy' in the hall that night. The crowd responded with the very much deserved standing ovation.
The fact that both Jac and Dina modelled designs by my two favourite Malaysian fashion designers, Tom Abang Saufi and Melinda Looi, were an added bonus. I nearly screamed when I saw Jac wearing my much desired Tweed-Hat-Hair-Clip by Mell Looi. Dang! I can only drool. [Am visualising me-younger-slimmer-self wearing the Tweed-Hat-Hair-Clip on my curls and the matching Tweed-Necktie-Choker with a brown bodice and tweed flared pants. Slurpy slurp!] Oh ya! Orked (Sharifah Amani) from Sepet was there as well.
It was disappointing to see Dina fall victim of her nerves and got bullied by Jac, a professional singer. I bought Jac and Dina's singles and when I compared, Dina sounded more melodious. This music idiot prefer Dina's wide range; we can do a lot of shit with her voice. I hope an R'n'B producer would sign her up ASAP. I'd be the first to get the album.
